Sony will loss 5000 Yen in beginning per system

Although Sony has not announced specific plans related to the amount of units sold PlayStation vita by this year, SMBC Nikko Securities analyst Kazuharu Miura was introduced some predictions. Miura predicted that by the end of the first fiscal year 2012 is expected around 2.5 million copies sold Ps vita systems.

Vita will be released later this year in Japan and early next year expects to start selling in North America and Europe.

When calculating predictions of the ps vita  units sold, Miura was make a note that the numbers may be variable and dependent on what software Sony plans to release with Ps Vita. Sony has admitted that in the beginning he will lose about ¥5,000 per each Psvita. By March 2013  Muira  announced around 8.5 million copies sold of ps vita system.
